Solar PV Panels

Here at Team Renewables, we offer Solar PV panels for your home. Solar PV panels are extremely environmentally friendly and don’t produce any greenhouse gases or CO2 emissions to produce electricity. They are low maintenance and don’t require regular checks, only once per year by a professional. This ensures that they are running at maximum efficiency.

Why Are Solar Panels Important For Homes?

Solar panels have many benefits and can help your home. The benefits include:

  • Saving money: With solar panels, you can reduce your electricity bills by producing your own electricity. This means that you spend less money with your energy supplier.
  • Reduce your carbon footprint: You aren’t directly contributing to carbon emissions by having solar panels for your home. As you no longer use traditional methods, such as burning fossil fuels, you are helping the fight against global warming.
  • Low maintenance: Solar panels require little maintenance once they’ve been installed. They only need to be checked once a year to ensure they are running efficiently. Solar panels only need to be cleaned once every 5 years, unless you are in a filthy environment or if they are installed at a low-angled pitch.
  • Avoid rising energy costs: As it is harder to source fossil fuels, energy prices continue to increase. By producing your own solar power, you rely less on traditional energy sources and can stretch your money further.

In-Roof Installation In The Yorkshire Moors

Being in a remote position high in the Yorkshire Moors, a large weather-resistant IN-Roof system was installed to offset the excessive electricity use by an Electric AGA & no Gas supply. A Huawei backup box also guards against frequent power outages, and 2 x 10 kWh batteries help them through the day. Shortly after installation in June, monitoring the system through the Portal, we also identified a high intermittent electric load happening overnight; the timer on the AGA was malfunctioning, and rectifying this has reduced the daily usage from an average of 35kWh p/day to less than 15kWh.

  • Current usage – 33000kWh !!
  • Solar – 8.04kWp
  • Inverter – Huawei 6kW
  • Battery – 2 x 10kWh Huawei
  • Grid Independence – 15.06%

The solar PV system generates clean, renewable electricity, which is used to power the appliances within the home or stored in the home battery for later use. When there is less sunlight, the battery is charged overnight cheaply, lowering daily usage costs.
